First United Methodist Church has been a part of our community from the very beginning of Fayette. We believe the church belongs to God and that the church is the body of Christ. At our very best we are the physical presence of Christ in the world. We aren’t perfect, but we’re working on it.As Christ’s body our primary aim is to introduce people to the love of Jesus Christ and to equip them to be his disciples in service to the world. That is our mission.

I am so glad you have found us on the web. Here you can find all kinds of info about FFUMC. Most importantly you will find ways to connect with others. Whatever journey brought you here, you are welcome in this place. Dive in!

Expressions of the Cross

The youth have been hard at work making crosses again for Expressions of the Cross.  They will be ready and on display the Sunday after Easter outside the Fellowship Hall.  This will be a fundraiser for the youth and will again be held as a silent auction for 2 weeks after.  Be on the lookout for the beautiful crosses created by our talented youth!

Fishes & Loaves

Team I prepared and delivered 232 meals to the housing project on Saturday, March 15.

We invite and encourage others in our church family to be a part of this vibrant ministry to prepare or deliver meals the third Saturday of each month.

Also, with rising food costs, expenses for this ministry have been exceeding the conference grant funds and donations targeted for this ministry. If you would like to consider either a one-time or even monthly donation towards this ministry, please make a note on your donation tagging it for the Fishes and Loaves. Thank you for your prayer support for each of the ministries served by our church family, and thank you Team I!

Celebrate Recovery Meals

Celebrate Recovery– We are in need of volunteers to provide a light meal on Thursday evenings. If you feel that you can help in this vital community outreach there are sign up sheets on the bulletin board outside the fellowship hall or you can contact Bonnie at 270-1622. We would appreciate any help!

Easter Hydrangea’s

If you would like to order an Easter flower in honor or in memory of someone this Easter, this is the last Sunday to do so. There will be order forms in the bulletin this morning just fill it out and put it in the collection plate or bring it by the church office. The orders are due by Monday March 25th.

Easter Cantata

The Chancel Choir will present an Easter Cantata “Wondrous Love” by Lloyd Larson on Sunday March 24th at 11:00 AM during our Traditional Service. Narrators will be Malinda Daniel & Mike Marion. Everyone is invited to attend.

Prayer & Lent… natural combination

This is a reminder that our sanctuary will remain open to any and all who desire fellowship with the Father during this season of Lent. Wether you come in the morning before work,  take a few minutes of your lunch break, or when your day is done. We want to extend the convenience of the altar.
